"Mai Thai" Cocktail Night

Join us for our Mai Tai Cocktail Night at The Gillmont!

We're taking one of the world’s most iconic tropical cocktails and exploring just how many different directions it can go.

Across the evening, you'll enjoy five full-sized cocktails, beginning with the classic combination of rum, lime, orange and orgeat before our bar team starts to play.

Expect different styles of rum, tropical flavours including coconut, melon and pineapple, a move away from rum altogether for one of our serves, and some much less expected ingredients thrown into the mix.

Some will feel unmistakably like a Mai Tai. Others might have you wondering how we got there, but each will take something from the flavours and structure that make the original such an enduring classic.

Our team will guide you through each cocktail, sharing the inspiration behind the serve, some of the ingredients and techniques they've been experimenting with, and how we've taken the Mai Tai in five very different directions.

Guests arrive from 7pm, with cocktails served throughout the evening until around 9:30pm.

A selection of bar snacks, including olives, nuts, and crisps, will be available to purchase on the night, and you're very welcome to stay with us afterwards for additional drinks at the bar.
